Covered Bridge Race Results

The
course this year started at North River Stone School House = and ran down to Middle
River, across the Hogback Covered Bridge and back mostly uphill to the school house.
The course was 3.5 miles in length and was hosted by the Winterset Rotary Club.
Finishing
first from Woodward, Ia. was the Rotary's Pump and Run Champion, Brent Achenbach,
who ran the distance in 20:08. The
women leader was Carrie Besselman from Troy Missouri who ran a 26:53 three and half
miles.
Winners
in the same distance walk were Elly and Daniel Adams from Ogden, finishing in 50:03
and 52:25 respectively.
While
Roy Ney, 55, DesMoines, was running an outstanding race finishing in 25:07 and 6th
overall, Nancy Harvey, 50, was doing the same, crossing the finish line in third
place in overall in 28:06.
