Mike Wells, Winterset, won overall 5K Run in 18:50, held at the Cedar Bridge on
Saturday October 3rd. Beth Wells, Winterset, teamed up with her father, Mike Wells
in the 5K Family Father-Daughter Run to turn in the fastest team time of 41:07.
Beth also was second in her age division, 14 and under, with a time of 22:17 bested
only by first place Angela Davis, Altoona, who won the female division in a time
of 21:05. Angela also teamed up with her father Randy Davis, who won the 50-54 age
group with a time of 21:50, in the Father-Daughter division to finish second with
a combined time of 42:55.
Craig Nordhausen, Parker, Co. 40-44, was second overall and first in his age division
in 20:08.
Mike Pattavina, Clarinda, 60-64, put in an outstanding performance finishing third
overall in 21:40
Clark Betts, DesMoines was first to finish in the oldest age division 65-69, running
a 30:14 5K.
In the 5K Walk, 75 year old Franklin Brown, DesMoines, past National Race Walking
Champion won the 5K Walk in 39:42.
Tadd and Autumn Davis, Winterset, teamed up in the 5K Father-Daughter Walk to win
that division in a combined time of 55:25.
All proceeds from the Covered Bridge Race go to the maintenance of the Winterset
City Park Maze, which is sponsored by the Winterset Rotary Club. The Club wishes
