The first two runners (one male and one female) were inadvertantly
directed the wrong way and this caused them to run a short course by almost
precisely 1/2 mile. They had enough of a lead that they would have been the overall
winners even had they "jogged" that half mile so we gave them the win anyway.
It was a race offiials decision to do this. We apologize for the mix-up and hope
everyone had a good experience.
