2005 Phil Kruger Memorial Race Results

Dike, IA.

A great day for running and walking greeted 158 participants for the annual Phil Kruger Memorial 5K Race/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. This was record number for the race in its’ 18^th year and since 2002 named in honor of former Dike-New Hartford and Luther College cross country and track athlete Phil Kruger. Phil and his wife Jodi were tragically killed in a car accident in December, 2001. This year also featured a record turnout of Luther alumni who were friends and teammates of Phil. Former Luther teammate Jason Sinwell, Rochester, MN was the overall first place finisher with a time of 16:14. The first place female was Amie Buskohl, Dike with a time of 19:30. A huge thank you to all who participated and assisted with the race. Special thanks to the New Hartford Race Management team for their special assistance. The age group winners were as follows:
