The ALL9Yards Sycamore 8

The 3^rd Annual Sycamore 8 is a point to point run on the Sycamore Trail along the Des Moines River. Start at the Johnston Soccer complex on NW 66^th and Beaver Dr. and finish at the old Target parking lot on Euclid Ave. We will be supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training program this year, as well as the American Red Cross’ efforts in hurricane relief.

COURSE: 8 Miles or so of a mostly flat, but rutted, dirt trail with a few short steep hills. Any number of hazards may and will be present, including rocks, ruts, mud, snow, sticks, roots, bricks, old cars…. Well, you get the idea! Run carefully! Water will be available at mile 4.5. Runners will be greeted with warm soup and hot cocoa at the finish, thanks to Martin Brothers Distributing!

ENTRY: $18 gets you in until December 8^th, $23 after that. Packet pick-up is on Friday, Dec. 9^th from 5-7pm at ALL9Yards Realty 3031 86^th Street in Urbandale, or at from 7-8:30am at the START! This is a point to point race and a bus is available BEFORE the race. Park at the finish and take the bus to the start — pick up your packet and run back to your car! Seats are limited, so if you can make arrangements for car pooling, that would be great. The buses will leave at 7:45am and 8:15am (or so)— so plan accordingly! No busses will be available after the run. Parking is available at both the start and finish line. A bag delivery service is available to the finish.

AWARDS: 1^st place, overall and masters (40+) male and female, will receive beautiful handmade trophies. Top three in each 10yr. age group will receive something cool (still being designed!) First 160 finishers will receive something cool to remember the day by! The awards ceremony will be from 11-11:15am near the finish area. Dress warm!!! All participants will receive a long sleeved t-shirt.
